# Credits and asset provenance
## Design derivation and preservation
Afterlight derives its initial hero structure from the **Scrolltide Fluxora free template**. The supplied source is `[local source record]`; the template reference is [Scrolltide Fluxora](https://www.scrolltide.co/templates/fluxora). The pill navigation, left-aligned display headline, glass panels, warm composition, serif accent, and staggered entrances informed the adaptation. The reference prompt was inspected locally during this pass. No external service was consulted.
Afterlight’s identity, copper/apricot palette, extended editorial typography, original procedural artwork, six sections, fictional project stories, and local brief builder were present when this QA pass began. They were retained exactly. Visual source changes in this pass only increase the two brand links, hero scroll link, and footer brief link to at least 44 px high; no copy, hero artwork, project artwork, font, or media asset was replaced.
The upstream [terms](https://www.scrolltide.co/terms) and [FAQ](https://www.scrolltide.co/faq) remain references from the earlier handoff. Their current contents were not rechecked during this local QA pass. No broader asset licence or ownership of Scrolltide’s design is asserted here.
## Visual assets
| Asset | Exact local source and provenance |
| --- | --- |
| Hero copper light ribbon, orbital traces, glow and meteor streaks | Existing original Canvas 2D code in `src/components/LightField.jsx`; no downloaded bitmap, video, texture, model, or AI image. Unchanged in this pass. |
| Hero fallback | Existing CSS gradients and elliptical light band in `src/components/Hero.css`. Only the scroll link’s minimum height changes in that file. |
| Afterlight identity | Existing text wordmark and eight-ray SVG mark in `src/components/icons.jsx`; matching `public/favicon.svg`. |
| Nearfield project study | Existing `SpatialArt` in `src/App.jsx` and `.spatial-art`, grid, orb, and wayfinding styles in `src/styles/sections.css`. Original CSS/HTML composition, unchanged. |
| Soft Signal project study | Existing `SignalArt` in `src/App.jsx` and `.signal-art`, waveform, and wordmark styles in `src/styles/sections.css`. Original CSS/HTML composition, unchanged. |
| Capability illustrations | Existing CSS orbit, typography specimen, and motion bars in `src/styles/sections.css`. |
| Utility icons | Existing geometric inline SVG paths in `src/components/icons.jsx`. |
| Preview images | `screenshot.png` and `mobile.png`: fresh local production captures, copied from `qa/desktop_00.png` and `qa/mobile_00.png`. |
## Copy and sample content
The existing Afterlight brand copy, Nearfield and Soft Signal studies, process text, brief prompts, and imagined reflections are custom fictional content. The studio is identified as an independent studio concept; each project is labelled as a concept; the reflections section and both quotes visibly read “Concept sample, not a client endorsement.” No real client, endorsement, or measured result is represented. All copy is unchanged in this pass.
## Typography
The exact existing WOFF2 files are self-hosted. Their recorded source stylesheet is the [original font request](https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Inter+Tight:wght@400;500;600&family=Inter:wght@400;500;600&family=Instrument+Serif:ital@1&display=swap), retrieved during the earlier font pass on 2026-10-25. The website does not request that URL or either Google Fonts service at runtime.
| Family | Author / copyright | Local files and declared weights | Licence |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Inter Tight — headings and identity | The Inter Project Authors, copyright 2022; [project](https://github.com/rsms/inter-tight) | `public/fonts/inter-tight-normal-*.woff2`; normal 400/500/600 | SIL OFL 1.1: [complete bundled text](public/fonts/Inter-Tight-OFL.txt) |
| Inter — body and controls | The Inter Project Authors, copyright 2020; [project](https://github.com/rsms/inter) | `public/fonts/inter-normal-*.woff2`; normal 400/500/600 | SIL OFL 1.1: [complete bundled text](public/fonts/Inter-OFL.txt) |
| Instrument Serif — italic accents | The Instrument Serif Project Authors, copyright 2022; [project](https://github.com/Instrument/instrument-serif) | `public/fonts/instrument-serif-italic-*.woff2`; italic 400 | SIL OFL 1.1: [complete bundled text](public/fonts/Instrument-Serif-OFL.txt) |
| Courier New / system monospace | Visitor’s operating system | Labels and annotations; no bundled file | No font redistributed |
[FONT_SOURCES.json](FONT_SOURCES.json) records the exact original URL, local filename, style, weight, subset, byte size, and SHA-256 checksum for each of the 16 font files. Inter/Inter Tight retain seven subsets each; Instrument Serif retains two. [fonts.css](public/fonts/fonts.css) contains local relative URLs, original face descriptors and Unicode ranges, and `font-display: swap`. This pass checked all 16 file sizes and SHA-256 hashes against the manifest; all match. The full licences remain bundled and copied to `dist/fonts/`.
The provenance manifest was moved from `public/fonts/SOURCES.json` to the repository root as `FONT_SOURCES.json` so its original source URLs are excluded from `dist/`. Saved tests scan entry HTML and all production text files and block every external browser request; they confirm local font loading at the root and under `/sample/`.
## Software and QA tools
React, React DOM, Vite, its React plugin, oxlint, and React type packages retain the existing package versions and licences in `package-lock.json` and `node_modules/`. No dependency was added or downloaded during this pass.
The saved QA runner uses the sandbox’s existing **Playwright Core 1.64.1** (Apache-2.0), the installed Chromium, and Node’s assertion/HTTP/filesystem APIs. It is outside the production bundle. The supplied capture runner is `[local source record]`. This pass did not run axe-core or use an external testing service.
