## Template derivation

This site began with **Visor by Scrolltide**, from [the Visor template page](https://www.scrolltide.co/templates/visor), supplied in the local library as free for personal and client site use. The source prompt was `[local source record]`. Scrolltide is credited for the starting template composition: separate navigation, large hero type, parallax and the overlapping three-card structure. This project does not claim that starting design as wholly original.

The retained **layout and copy structure** includes a separate header, rounded hero stage, oversized headline with supporting copy and CTA, three overlapping introductory cards, and dialogs controlled from the parent component. The React/Vite/TypeScript/Tailwind/Motion/Lucide stack and the Outfit/Jakarta font choices also come from that starting point. The words, identity, palette and artwork were changed; retaining those structural relationships is still a template derivation.

The resulting **Stereofield** concept is substantially customised: original studio identity and copy, spruce/sage/cream/citron palette, serif display accent, experience lab, principles, process, concept-use cards, project formats and a functioning local brief builder. The headline “Room for curiosity,” cards and layout are preserved in this hero revision.

### Terms and FAQ

Reviewed 25 October 2026: [Scrolltide Terms & Conditions](https://www.scrolltide.co/terms), dated 4 October 2026, and [Scrolltide FAQ](https://www.scrolltide.co/faq). The terms distinguish websites built from templates from redistribution of the templates/prompts themselves; they also restrict reuse of preview footage and marketing media, presenting an unmodified template as original work, and competing template libraries. The FAQ describes personal/client use and reiterates the restrictions on template resale and promotional media. These links document the derivation; they do not assert an independent media grant, a model release, or a license to redistribute the source template. This is a customised website, not a template pack.

## Original optical hero — no retained Scrolltide media

`src/components/OpticalHero.tsx` draws **Optical study / 01**, a pair of translucent sage glass lenses, entirely in Canvas 2D. It uses original ellipse geometry, gradients, curved reflection bands, refracted contour lines, ground shadow and registration marks. Breathing motion and subtle pointer/scroll parallax are computed in code. No bitmap textures, models, external renderer, stock images, generated photographs or videos are used. Reduced motion produces a static drawing of the same composition. The hero has pause and reset controls.

**No Scrolltide film, poster, screenshot, preview footage or other supplied media remains in `public/`, `src/`, `dist/`, the current QA frames, or the root preview PNGs. No photograph or video of a person is used anywhere on the site.** Current PNGs are QA captures of this site's original code-rendered artwork and interface.

### Removed assets (historical provenance only)

These URLs identify removed material only; they are neither embedded nor requested by the site. Vite's clean build removes the former film and poster from production output.

**v1 person-hero backup:** `[local source record]` contains only the earlier nine desktop captures, nine mobile captures and `errors.txt`. Those comparison PNGs include the former person hero. It is a capture archive, not a source checkout or a backup of the removed video/poster. It sits outside this project and is not copied into the production build. The current `qa/` frames, `screenshot.png` and `mobile.png` contain the code-built optical hero.

## Other original work

Stereofield's fictional identity, overlapping-lens SVG mark and favicon, rewritten words, extended experience/principles/studio/process/project/FAQ/footer sections, CSS sphere/rings/shared-canvas artwork, studio lens graphic, concept-use writing and local brief builder were created for this customisation. These additions and the original Canvas hero sit within the template-derived composition described above. All three studies are design concepts, not commissioned work or finished VR software. The former social-proof/testimonial role is now occupied by imagined uses: each card carries a visible **Concept sample** badge and a neutral Lucide object icon. No customer testimonials, ratings, sales statistics, real contact details or client endorsements are claimed.

## Fonts

The template already specified Outfit and Plus Jakarta Sans through Google Fonts. This version retains those families, selects four existing weights and serves them locally. Fonts are licensed under the **SIL Open Font License 1.1**; their notices are included beside the files in `src/assets/fonts/` and copied into `public/licenses/` so production builds retain them.

Montserrat and Syne from the earlier template are no longer requested or used.

The hero's serif accent uses the visitor's system Georgia/Times/serif fallback; no additional font asset is downloaded. Its CSS permits italic synthesis when that system serif lacks an italic face, so the intended italic survives the global font-synthesis restriction.
